St Patrick’s day has been and gone, and this is traditionally the time to plant sweet peas. 

But get them in now, and do it while the soil is warm! Put the seeds into a cup and soak overnight in warm water so the seed coat softens. Before planting, spread two handfuls of lime over the ground and plant the seeds so they can grow up a trellis or tripod.
