Jarrod Witts to stay put at Collingwood, set to have domino effect on trades, says Sam ‘Scoop’ McClure
Jarrod Witts’ refusal to be part of Collingwood’s deal for Adam Treloar is set to have a domino effect during this year’s trade period, says Sam ‘Scoop’ McClure.
Witts had been linked with a move to GWS after Treloar nominated the Pies as his club of choice.
The Giants and Collingwood need to negotiate a trade, despite the midfielder being out of contract.
‘Witts doesn’t want go to Sydney and he’s told the Pies he’s contracted and wants to stay at the club,’ McClure explained on Sports Today.
‘They’ve accepted that.’
But Scoop said that was likely to impact the future of Matthew Kreuzer and also opened to door for Richmond to make another pitch to Treloar, despite his intention of getting to the Pies.
