Jarryd Roughead says there are boundaries when sledging on the field
Hawthorn star Jarryd Roughead says players should respect boundaries when sledging on the field.
Shane Mumford was in hot water this week for sledging Lance Franklin, who missed last year’s finals with mental health issues.
And Roughead could be a target for sledging when he returns to the field in the future.
The four-time premiership player is in the middle of a 12-month treatment for melanoma, and although he won’t put a time frame on it, he does expect to return.
Roughead told 3AW Football there are boundaries when it comes to sledging.
‘If someone wants to stoop that low to have a crack at me for what’s going on, I’d reckon I’m a better person than them,’ Roughead said.
