Jeff Kennett calls for gambling ads to be banned labelling them a ‘cancer’

Over 70 prominent Australians, which includes former prime ministers and premiers have signed an open letter for the federal government to ban gambling advertising.

Former prime ministers, Malcolm Turnbull and John Howard are supporting the campaign, as well as former Victorian and New South Wales premiers Jeff Kennett and Dominic Perrottet.

Jeff Kennett joined 3AW Mornings to discuss why he supports the ban of gambling ads.

“I’ve seen children at the football laying bets,” Kennett said on 3AW Mornings.
