Jennifer Hawkins on fashion and heading to the US

A shadowy, gothic-inspired underground car park used in a scene from Mad Max was the sensational setting for a moody Myer Autumn season launch on the grounds of Melbourne University last night.

128 guests sat down to an Ian Curley-designed menu of cod roe followed by delicious duck as two fashion moments, involving 30 models and 100 looks, captivated the trendsetters.

Invitees included Dom Bagnato, Lauren Phillips, Ash Williams, Jimmy Bartel, JR Reyne, Yeojin Bae, Emma Booth and Chyka Keebaugh.

Designers on show included Alex Perry, Toni Maticevski, White Suede and MJ Bale as olive green, burgundy and plum were revealed as the season’s hues.

Donna Demaio chatted with Face of Myer Jennifer Hawkins who admitted to battling nerves when taking to the runway.
