Jobe Watson to return to Essendon

Jobe Watson has confirmed he’ll be playing AFL next season.

The Essendon captain announced on Friday morning he’d be returning to the Bombers.

He said a recent trip overseas had changed his mind.

‘When I left Australia I didn’t think I was going to come back to play,’ he told media on Friday.

The 2012 Brownlow medallist is the last of the banned bombers players to confirm their plans for 2017.
