Jockey’s ban for punching a horse slammed as “completely inadequate”

A jockey has copped a two-week ban for punching a horse.

Dylan Caboche was sanctioned after punching his horse She’s Reneldasgirl in the stomach before a race at Port Lincoln in South Australia.

Fox Sports reporter Tom Morris told Sportsday Caboche should consider himself lucky.

“This seems completely inadequate,” Tom said.

“He deliberately punched his horse.”

Dwayne Russell said two weeks seems light.
