Australian crooner John Williamson will perform his song True Blue at the Australian Open on Tuesday prior to Lleyton Hewitt’s match.

In what will be his last Australian Open, Hewitt will face Australian player James Duckworth.

Speaking to Darren James on 3AW Afternoons, Williamson described the performance as an honour and said that he had followed Lleyton’s career.

‘I think he embodies what it is to be true blue,’ Williamson said. ‘He’s a great fighter in the game.’

‘I’m glad that I’m there to send him off for his last Australian Open.’
