Jon Anderson pays tribute to Paul Couch on 3AW Breakfast

Herald Sun sports journalist Jon Anderson has paid an emotional tribute to good mate Paul Couch.
Couch died tragically on Saturday after suffering a suspected heart attack while riding his bike along the Great Ocean Road, near Apollo Bay.
He was 51.
Ando told Ross and John the Geelong great, and 1989 Brownlow medallist, was much more than a champion footballer.
‘Paul was a two-time All-Australian amongst his many other credits, but he was an All-Australian so many times over in other ways ? as father, sibling and son to his parents,’ he said on 3AW Breakfast.
Ando said he received a call on Saturday informing him of Couch’s passing, but found it hard to believe.
‘I immediately rang Paul’s mobile because I knew he’d think it’d be a great joke if he knew somebody was telling a story about rumours of his death being somewhat premature,’ he explained.
‘And when it went to voicemail I became somewhat concerned because Couchy normally had his phone on just in case somebody had a good tip for him on a Saturday.’
