Jon Anderson says he doesn’t expect Jarrad McVeigh to play

Jon Anderson doesn’t expect Sydney captain Jarrad McVeigh to play on Saturday’s Grand Final. 

Sydney has made two changes for the big game, recalling injured pair McVeigh and Callum Mills.

But while Ando said he thinks Rising Star winner Mills will take his place on the day, he doesn’t think the Swans’ captain will play.

‘My understanding is McVeigh will face a fitness test as late as tomorrow morning,’ he said.

Ando tipped the Swans to win by 4-5 goals, spurred on by the sting of their poor showing in the 2014 Grand Final.

‘Part of me hopes I’m wrong,’ he said.
