Jon Anderson has scoffed at calls for Collingwood to lift a club-imposed suspension on Jordan De Goey ahead of the ANZAC Dday clash with Essendon.

De Goey is currently banned from playing for the Magpies until round seven for lying to the club about how he suffered an injury.

Retired North Melbourne Champion David King has told Fox Footy the small forward is too valuable to leave on the sidelines in troubled times for the Pies, a sentiment which has received support from Collingwood fans on social media.

But Ando, on 3AW Breakfast with Justin and Kate, said ‘you can’t do that’.

‘If you do that, what does it say to the rest of your players?’
