Josh Frydenberg responds to anti-semitic vandalism of campaign billboards
Federal Treasurer Josh Frydenberg has called the anti-Semitic vandalism of one of his billboards as “obscene”.
Mr Frydenberg, who is Jewish, took to Twitter to upload an image of a campaign billboard in front of a suburban home where a swastika had been drawn on his head.
Vandalism is a crime. This kind of vandalism is obscene.
It doesn’t matter which political group is on the receiving end, it’s just not on. Our community deserves better.

“Vandalism is a crime, and vandalism of this kind is obscene,” the Treasurer told Tony Jones on 3AW Drive.
“The use of swastikas is a reminder of a very dark past, one that we should never forget, and one that we have a collective duty to ensure is never repeated.
“Now I’m not the first, and sadly not the last politician, to have their billboards defaced with swastikas.
“But the community deserves much better than this, it’s really insensitive and dangerous to see this type of vandalism.”
