Journalist set to protest with ‘Women Will Speak’ rally

Journalist Julie Szego says women have a right to speak out without the threat of violence.

Szego will speak at the ‘Women Will Speak’ rally set to take place outside the state parliament on Saturday. Police are preparing for violence to possibly erupt with pro- trans and queer supporters threatening to gatecrash.

“They are sometimes quite aggressive … They’re there to drown us out, they’re there to not let us speak,” she said on 3AW Drive.
