Senior Liberal minister Julie Bishop has been photographed using her mobile phone while driving.

Pictures obtained by Fairfax Media show the foreign minister using her phone while behind the wheel of her campaign car in Perth.

It happened late Thursday.

She has since apologised.

It comes just six months after Labor leader Bill Shorten was fined $443 by police for texting while driving in Melbourne.
