Kangaroo jumps into Torquay home early on Sunday morning

A Torquay resident was given an almighty shock on Sunday morning when a kangaroo leapt through his bedroom window.

Bill McConnell and his wife were sound asleep when the unexpected intruder smashed into the house at 6.30am.

What followed was ten minutes of utter chaos.

Mr McConnell told Tony Jones it landed right next to his wife’s face.

‘She kept thinking how very fortunate she was that the kangaroo didn’t lash out,’ he said.
