Kate Ceberano returns to her 80s roots with album re-release

Kate Ceberano is getting the band back together!

She and her I’m Talking band mates Zan Abeyratne and Barbara Hogarth joined Denis Walter in the studio to chat about the re-release of their 80s dance album Bear Witness.

The trio haven’t done interviews together in more than 30 years, with Kate enjoying a successful solo career and Zan singing back up for huge international acts like U2 and BB King.

Kate told Denis the album has been remastered and it sounds “fat and delicious and hot and exciting”.

“As a band, we were fierce, it was fun,” she said.

“There was no dance at the time, rock music had a real hold on the public at the time,” Barbara said.

“We were a bit of an anomaly.”
