Up to 25,000 “anti-war” protesters are planning to blockade a major international military forum at the Melbourne Exhibition and Convention Centre next month.

Hundreds of police officers will have to be diverted from their regular duties, with major fears it could be violent.

Former Premier of Victoria Jeff Kennett joined 3AW Drive to discuss his disappointment in the potential protest and the negative impact it will have on our police officers.

“We’re putting at risk the lives of our police men and women,” Kennett said on 3AW Drive.
