Kew home gatecrashed by 30 teens, linked to elite private schools

As many as 30 teens have gatecrashed a small gathering in Kew, with many of the offenders believed to be from elite private schools.

A group of teenage girls were left terrified when their small gathering of around eight friends was ambushed by around 30 teens.

The group is accused of smashing a window with a bottle, as well as stealing booze and other items from the home.

The girl’s parents were having dinner in the city at the time.

Police have been reviewing CCTV footage to identify the gatecrashers.

Xavier College and Carey Grammar say they have been contacted and are investigating.

Rob’s daughter was at the gathering and told Ross and John police had said the teens were unlikely to be charged.

‘It seems really unfair,’ he said.
