Khawaja unfazed by Boxing Day selection uncertainty

Most cricket fans have thoughts on whether or not Usman Khawaja should be immediately recalled to the Test team after a hamstring injury.

However, one man who isn’t thinking about it is Khawaja himself.

While Khawaja turned heads with a big century in the Big Bash League on Sunday night, selectors might be hesitant to shuffle a team that beat the West Indies so comprehensively in the First Test.

But although playing in his first Boxing Day Test would be a dream come true, Khawaja told Sports Today he’s not thinking about selection.

‘It’s out of my control,’ Khawaja said on Tuesday.

‘I’ve been through it so many times now… it doesn’t really faze me any more.’
