Kickboxing champion makes citizen’s arrest after tracking down alleged thief

A kickboxing champion has settled the score with a thief he’s accused of fleecing his bank account.
When Muay Thai fighter Johnny Bourke’s credit card was stolen on New Year’s night, he went through his bank details and found which businesses his card had been used at.
As reported in the Geelong Advertiser, he went to one business, matching EFTPOS time stamps with CCTV footage.
“I ran up to another shop to get the other footage when the first store rang and said the man had returned,” Johnny told 3AW Breakfast.
Kate asked what happens when a champion fighter confronts the man he thinks has been spending his money.
“I said, ‘We can do this the easy way or the hard way’,” Johnny said.
