Have a ‘kidult’ in their mid to late 20s still living at home with no savings and few financial prospects?

Finance guru Scott Haywood and Tom Elliott discussed how to educate children about saving money, budgeting and being financially literate from a young age to avoid the ‘kidult’ phenomenon.

‘The problem we have is when these kidults get a part-time job all they want to do is drink craft beer, play Pokemon Go, go to Bali, spend money on takeaway food and they have no sense of reality on how to manage finances,’ he said.

‘I see so many young people who have no idea about their HECS debt or their tax or their super.’
