Labor has a ‘serious problem’ with how Cheeseman situation was handled

Jacqui Felgate has slammed Victoria premier Jacinta Allan’s handling of the eventual booting of MP Darren Cheeseman from the parliamentary floor due to inappropriate workplace behaviour towards woman.

While initially opting to only demote the South Barwon MP as the allegations emerged, the premier decided late on Monday to remove him from parliament.

“Labor has a serious problem here,” she told 3AW Drive.

“Jacinta Allen said there was simply no room and tolerance for this sort of behavior within the government, but there was until late last night.

“In my view, it’s quite frankly too little, too late.”
