Labor’s massive election promise for Victorian horse racing

The state government has promised a massive prize money boost to every level of horse racing in Victoria.

The money will be injected into the industry, should Labor win the upcoming state election.

Racing Minister Martin Pakula announced the $33 million commitment on Wednesday.

It would be implemented over two years and will see Racing Victoria reclaim the prize money lead from Racing NSW.

“They can have their Everest,” Mr Pakula told Ross and John.
