The lamb industry has come under fire for an ad that allegedly mocks veganism.

This ad promotes the fictional ‘Operation Boomerang’, which rescues many Australians ‘stranded’ overseas, unable to enjoy lamb on Australia Day.

One of the expatriates is now a vegan. After learning this, the agents extravagantly torch the salad bowl on his coffee table. 

One angry letter in the newspaper forced Tom Elliott to ask the question: do vegans have a sense of humour?
