Japanese maple tree stolen from Bridge Hotel at Castlemaine

A large Japanese maple tree has been stolen from a pub in the state’s northwest.

The six foot tall maple was taken from Castlemaine’s Bridge Hotel on Sunday night.

Owner of the hotel Mace has told 3AW’s Nick McCallum he only planted the tree a couple of months ago.
