LATEST: Government further cuts interval times for COVID-19 booster shots
The federal government has again cut the interval between COVID-19 booster vaccine shots, following advice from ATAGI.
The five-month break, down from six initially, will be further slashed to four months between doses from January 4.
That interval will drop to just three months between doses from January 31.
Health Minister Greg Hunt said the changes were being made out of “an abundance of caution” to ensure Australia has the best chance of limiting the impacts of the Omicron variant of COVID-19.
