A push to bolster Victoria’s self-defence laws to allow people to fight back against home intruders without consequence is underway, amid a rise in home invasions.

Partner at Thomson Geer Lawyers, Justin Quill, says he understands the reasons behind the push, but cautioned it “does create a bit of risk” for residents.

“It’s a little bit of a case of be careful what you wish for,” he told Ross and Russel.
