Leading doctor doubles down on call to make live-saving treatments more affordable
Haematologist and director of molecular oncology at Epworth, Professor Miles Prince, has doubled down on his call for the federal government to inject more funding for life-saving treatments, and to make them more affordable.
It comes after one of his patients, Geoff Nyssen, who was diagnosed in 2014 with multiple myeloma, is set to receive life-saving CAR-T cell therapy over in America in November.
“I don’t think we should be having these battles for every drug, for every life-saving treatment, there’s got to be change,” Professor Prince told Neil Mitchell.
