Leading horse trainer rushed to hospital after fall on Caulfield Cup winner
Leading Melbourne horse trainer Ciaron Maher has suffered a nasty injury after falling off Caulfield Cup winner Jameka on Friday morning.
The incident happened at Caulfield trackwork in the early hours of the morning.
Maher was taken to hospital with a suspected broken femur, according to Racing.com.
He’s expected to undergo surgery.
Champion mare Jameka, who won the Caulfield Cup in 2016, was not hurt during the incident.
