Leading senior constable charged with assault, Victoria Police reveals

A leading senior constable has been charged with assault.

Victoria Police confirmed the member had been charged by professional standards on Tuesday.

The charges – recklessly causing injury and unlawful assault – relate to an incident in December 2018 whilst the member was off duty.

The leading senior constable will face the Magistrates’ Court at a later date.

They’ve been transferred to other duties.
