‘Leave immediately’: More warnings issued to Grampian residents

Residents in Bellellen, Bellfield, Black Range, Borough Huts, Fyans Creek, Illawarra, Lake Fyans, Lake Lonsdale, Ledcourt, Mokepilly, Mount Dryden, Pomonal and Roses Gap are urged to leave immediately.

The fire is moving in a north-easterly direction towards Lake Lonsdale as strengthened winds push the fire across control lines.

Relief centres have been set up in Ararat and Stawell.

Meanwhile residents in Glenthompson. Kia Ora, Moyston, Stavely, Strathmore, Willaura, and Willaura North, have been urged to evacuate immediately as firefighters have been unable to stop the fire raging.

Residents have been told to evacuate to friends and family away from the fire by using Ararat-Halls Gap Road to Ararat.

Delacombe Way to the Ararat-Mortlake Rd then to Ararat. From Glenthompson to Hamilton Relief Centre via Caramut and Penshurst have also been listed as viable routes.
