Leigh Matthews blasts North Melbourne’s timing as ‘diabolical’

Leigh Matthews has slammed the timing of North’s announcement on its veterans’ future as ‘diabolical’.

But the all-time great had some sympathy for the club, saying they had been ‘backed into a corner’ in trying to fulfil the players’ wish to be told either way by the end of August.

‘These are end-of-season things,’ Lethal said on Sports Today on Thursday evening.
