Leigh Matthews thinks young Tigers were ‘impressive’ in their loss against Essendon

The Bombers bounced back from their heavy round 10 defeat, winning by 23 points over Richmond on Friday night.

Despite their loss, Leigh Matthews thinks the young Tigers looked “impressive” without three of their experienced players.

“They looked like the Giants when they came into the competition, ” Matthews said on 3AW Football.

“They went back to ground zero, I think they looked quite impressive as a growth team.”
