Lethal not writing Hawks off yet

It’s the lingering question which will remain all year, can the Hawks win their fourth flag in a row?

Hawthorn find themselves in a better win/loss position than at the same time last year, which would suggest they are on the right track.

However early season form has included three narrow wins and club legend Jason Dunstall has all but written them off as a premiership chance in 2016.

It’s a position which Leigh Matthews is not ready to agree with.

‘It’s a pretty categorical statement against a good team,’ Matthews said on Sports Today.

‘And there is areas for concern and question marks.

‘All it means is they’re not playing that great and they’re four-two. But gee, I wouldn’t writing them off.’
