And Liana Buchanan is hoping to help.

The Principal Commissioner for Children and Young people joined Tom Elliott in studio on Tuesday.

There were two pressing issues the 3AW Drive host wanted to discuss.

1. The abuse of kids in detention in the Northern Territory.
2. Young recidivist offenders in Victoria.
