Light plane does laps above Melbourne’s outer east

A sunny Sunday afternoon was ruined for some residents in Melbourne’s outer east yesterday, after it seemed like a plane was flying back and forth over their suburb.

Kate Stevenson said some of her friends in Upwey thought the light plane seemingly flew continuously up and back over their property all afternoon.

In order to establish if this was true, 3AW Breakfast checked an online flight path radar and found some amusing looking evidence.

“Looks hilarious but clearly not hilarious to have been under!” Ross said.
