‘Likely to go to the planning tribunal’: Inner-north council rejects fast-food chain development
The Darebin Council has voted to reject an amended permit application to build a 24-hour fast food restaurant on a popular Melbourne street.
A senior lecturer in Urban Planning and Design at Monash University has said the matter will “probably go to VCAT”.

“Even if everybody objected, it would still not have enough planning grounds to really be technically rejected,” Dr Liz Taylor said on 3AW Breakfast.
