Lisa McCune is appearing in Follies in Concert with some of Australia’s greatest entertainers

Talk about a star-studded cast. Lisa McCune is appearing in Follies in Concert with some of Australia’s greatest entertainers.

These include David Hobson, Bert and Patti Newton and Debra Byrne.

Ms McCune says it’s much easier to learn lines when it’s a good show like this one.

‘When you work with really good people and you have a good script and music it’s somehow easier,’ she said.  

The story is about an actors reunion at the soon-to-be demolished Weismann Theatre.

Ms McCune, a mother-of-three, says he daughter has caught the acting bug like her.

‘My daughter has got the lead role in a school play, so after finishing Follies I’m on Wizard of Oz duty, as long as I don’t have to make the costumes,’ she said.

At age 15, Mc McCune was also in The Wizard of Oz, playing Dorothy.   

She says after Follies in Concert she is going to take a break then look for the right television or screen project to come her way.
