Six-year-old Oliver Nguyen is putting the mini plastic toys handed out at Coles to good use.

He’s hatched a plan to raise money for the Royal Children’s Hospital with a raffle to win his entire collection, so far selling 40 tickets, at $5 each.

His mum Huong told Neil Mitchell as much as Oliver loved collecting the minis, she wasn’t surprised he made this decision.

“He’s always been that kind of empathetic little person,” she said.

“It’s more than we ever anticipated we’d get, the public response has been great.”

“I wanted to give it away,” Oliver told Neil.

“And I was counting while you two were talking and there’s 45 not 40 tickets!”
