A video of an 11-year-old boy crying to his mother about being bullied at school has been viewed more than 15 million times online.

Keaton Jones, (above) from Knoxville, Tennessee, gives an emotional outpouring about the bullying he suffers at school and pleads with people to change their attitudes towards bullying.

A friend of the Jones family, Jamie Brown told Neil Mitchell Keaton has been bullied for a number of years.

“It’s been going on since he started school, Keaton born with some medical issues that cause him to look different, he has scars,” Jamie said.

“Kids are cruel, Keaton was an easy target for them.”

Program Psychologist Dr Michael Carr-Gregg told Neil, as emotional as the video is, it’s unlikely to have any far-reaching effect.

“We just know the level of emotional empathy in kids in school is quite low,” Dr Carr-Gregg said.

“So this will keep going.”

Keaton asked his mother to film him after she picked him up from school early because he was too scared to go on lunch break.

Through tears, Keaton says the other children tease him about his physical appearance and pour milk on him.
