The Tigers have cruised to victory and have left Melbourne’s season in disarray after winning by 43 points.

The Dees showed the fight and spirit their fans had been calling for in the first term but simply ran out steam. The next three quarters got progressively worse for Melbourne as they found it harder and harder to get into the game.

The Tigers then dominated throughout the remaining three quarters but only put the pressure on the scoreboard in the final term, kicking five goals.

At the end of the game Tigers coach Damien Hardwick confirmed Jack Riewoldt has injured his PCL. Richmond will await scans to confirm the severity of the injury but it is expected he will be out for the next few weeks.

After the game we spoke with Dion Prestia about their win and what it means for the Richmond FC.
