The Bombers have put in a commanding performance that saw them come out as 47 point victors over the Brisbane Lions.

Anthony McDonald-Tipungwuti has played an outstanding game as he kicked on the siren to get a match high and personal best seven goals. The Bombers came out flying and managed kick to 6 goals in the opening term.

The Lions were different team in the second half and were on top of the Bombers everywhere except on the scoreboard. The Bombers managed to kick the final three goals that distorts to closeness of the contest.

Essendon will be looking to get their second win of the season when they take on the undefeated Lions this afternoon at the MCG.

The Bombers were poor in the first two rounds but last week they proved that they have what it takes to win after their emphatic victory over the Dees.

Few would have predicted that the Lions would be entering Round 4 with three wins and Brisbane coach, Chris Fagan believes all their close defeats last year has taught the squad how to win.
