Local mayor ‘sick of talking’ about airport rail, says it’s ‘bloody time’ to start building it
The mayor of a local council where the Airport Rail is slated to be built says it’s “about bloody time” someone took control of the much talked about major transport project.
Melbourne Airport said on Monday they’re now open to green lighting an above-ground station at the terminal, removing one of the big sticking points to the train line being build.
Moonee Valley City Council mayor Pierce Tyson told 3AW Drive says people were sick of politics getting in the way of the much-needed link to the airport being built.

“It’s about bloody time (the rail link was built) and let’s just get on with it,” he said on 3AW.
“That’s how absolutely everyone feels about it. I’m sick of talking about it and just want it done and back on track.”
