Look up, Melbourne – the planets are aligning in August
The evening sky in August will feature a rare alignment of the five visible planets.
Mercury, Venus, Mars, Jupiter, and Saturn will all be visible from about 6.30pm each night.
Astronomer Dr Alan Duffy told Ross and John it won’t happen again until October 2018.
‘You’ll want to get into it this month because it’s a long wait otherwise,’ he said.
Dr Duffy said he doesn’t think the alignment will have an impact on us here on Earth.
