Lord Mayor, Robert Doyle was in studio this morning to discuss his budget.

The Melbourne City Council is expected to hit motorists with almost 90-million dollars in fees and fines in the next year.

But the council is ruling out increasing prices for on-street parking.

Rate increases are on hold at 2.5%

He’s also promising no parking fee hikes.

Almost $1 million a year expected to be spent on cleaning up graffiti.

He spoke with Neil Mitchell and agrees it’s a huge amount to pay, he feels they are losing the war.

Mr Doyle says – ‘The Giuliani method is still the best… clean graffiti up as soon as you can.’.
