Lord mayor sends ‘really clear message’ to wannabe graffiti vandals

Melbourne lord mayor Nick Reece says he’s had enough of graffiti vandals, pledging to fine anyone caught defacing buildings.

His comments come after ‘Pam the Bird’ artist Jack Gibson-Burrell was charged with over 50 offences, largely after painting the infamous bird across Melbourne.

“We’re sending a really clear message,” he told Ross and Russ.

“If you spray, you will pay in the City of Melbourne.”
