Luke Hodge announces retirement

Matthew Lloyd says Luke Hodge will finish his career in rare company after the Hawthorn champ announced his retirement.

Hodge, who will play his 300th game this week, will finish up at the end of the season.

Speaking on 3AW, Lloyd said “Four Cs” came to mind with Hodge.

  • Courage
  • Composure
  • Competitor
  • Class

“I think it’s rare that you have somebody so tough that uses the ball so well,” Lloyd explained on Sportsday.

“You’ve usually got one of the other.”
