The same man who was recently asked to leave a pub after wearing a MAGA hat claims he’s had the same experience at another venue.

Angelo Notta made headlines after it emerged he was told to leave St Kilda pub Captain Baxter after walking into the establishment wearing the hat.

He said despite not wearing the same hat to Republica in recent days, he was still told to leave because his presence made other workers feel “uncomfortable”.

“The venue manager approached me (saying) that I needed to leave (because) the staff felt uncomfortable that I was there,” he said on 3AW Mornings.

“It just feels personal now.”

Melbourne Hospitality People – who owns both Captain Baxter and Republica – released a statement to 3AW, disputing Mr Notta’s version of events.
