Major Brendan Nottle says taxpayer bill for Collingwood squatters is ‘frustrating, annoying’
Major Brendan Nottle says it’s ‘incredibly frustrating’ taxpayers were forced to foot the $160,000 bill to clean-up the Collingwood houses occupied by squatters.
The cost blowout, reported by the Herald Sun, included paying security guards, changing the locks and the major clean up bill.
Major Nottle from The Salvation Army told Tony Jones it’s such a waste.
‘It’s incredibly frustrating,’ he said.
‘That money could have spent on getting people off the streets and getting them somewhere safe.’
