Major Melbourne traffic disruptions start next Monday

Melbourne traffic is about to be thrown into chaos.

Parts of Grattan Street will be closed for up to five years as part of the new Metro Tunnel works.

From Monday 19 February, Grattan Street will be closed from Royal Parade to Leicester Street.

St Kilda Road will also experience delays as a result of the work, with the stretch from Kings Way to Dorcas Street reduced to just one lane.

Trams will still run , although stops will be moved including the busy Domain Interchange.

Drivers are urged to plan ahead when travelling to those areas.
